I have inserted a new plan on which Messrs. Macdonald & Co's lots are cross-hatched in red whilst

the present Railway property is edged in yellow. Neigh- bouring lots are edged or cross-hatched in neutral tint. The uncoloured areas to the north-east of Macdonald & Co's lots are unleased Crown land.

The development soheme indicated is a more tentative suggestion. It will doubtless be greatly alter- -ed before any such scheme is finally adopted. The acqui- -sition of Macdonald & Co's lota is essential to afford

Government a free fand in devising a scheme of development.
